Those marathons are easy to run on paper, and the 01:39:53 I'd done in the half, without over pushing myself, made me too confident for the Beaujolais hills. Oh well. I wanted to get this story right, and I think I came close. Even here, outside the shops, people ask for coins. Most are clean. Some will talk to you. All of them make me grateful for what I already have.Hope to be able to speak one day as well as you write.
