{"id":1313,"date":"2009-01-30T08:27:07","date_gmt":"2009-01-30T14:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ocularfusion.net\/?p=1313"},"modified":"2022-01-02T07:36:01","modified_gmt":"2022-01-02T12:36:01","slug":"settlin-down-me-ol-soul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ocularfusion.net\/?p=1313","title":{"rendered":"Settlin&#8217; Down Me Ol&#8217; Soul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Number Two Son and I are in Pensacola, Florida this morning. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocularfusion.net\/?p=21\">It&#8217;s not the first time I&#8217;ve been here with one of me lads.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And Pensacola means <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcguiresirishpub.com\/\">McGuire&#8217;s Irish Pub<\/a>, a steroid-enhanced, Gatlinburg version of one that I&#8217;m sure a real Irishman would scoff at and probably scrap over if anyone dared to call it the real thing. Aye, I think he would.<\/p>\n<p>But the filet was melt-in-your-mouth wonderful and the, ahem, &#8220;root beer&#8221; was just what the doctor ordered after a hard, six hour drive. We had a seat near the stage, so we got an earful of some loud and raucous Irish music, all of which bore the same basic theme&#8211;whiskey and fightin&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Who knows, there may be a time and a place for both, but when it comes to settlin&#8217; down me ol&#8217; soul, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3i5ZLJqGhR8\">nothing compares to this kind of Irish music.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All of ye have a great weekend.\n<\/p>\n<p><!--0454ea11e7769a791bdfd4400fc4be38-->\n<\/p>\n<p><!--27002a1fb72a8cbc50bb3e45196789ac-->\n<\/p>\n<p><!--cade1289389be3f311270d3fbd03475f-->\n<\/p>\n<p><!--c7615f0a6768c1252aedc776118e2edf--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Number Two Son and I are in Pensacola, Florida this morning.
