{"id":352,"date":"2006-10-11T05:15:35","date_gmt":"2006-10-11T10:15:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ocularfusion.net\/?p=352"},"modified":"2022-01-02T07:39:25","modified_gmt":"2022-01-02T12:39:25","slug":"do-you-want-to-hear-something-really-scary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ocularfusion.net\/?p=352","title":{"rendered":"Do You Want to Hear Something Really Scary?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Things I love about this time of year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cooler, crisp weather and the extra spring in my step during my morning run.<\/li>\n<li>The pageantry and thrill of college football (Roll Tide!)<\/li>\n<li>Midnight Madness, and the beginning of college basketball season (Go Duke!)<\/li>\n<li>The MLB playoffs and World Series (Go Cards! Please?)<\/li>\n<li>Watching (and coaching) my sons play soccer<\/li>\n<li>Having a fine dinner with Eyegal and driving home with the top back and the windows down<\/li>\n<li>Catching a glimpse of God in the bushes and trees which are just starting to burn with the fiery colors of fall<\/li>\n<li>Pumpkins. And the sweet aroma of decay emanating from piles of fallen leaves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Things I hate about this time of year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The appearance of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hell_house\">these<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Fellow believers who <a href=\"http:\/\/www.godestiny.org\/hell_house\/HH_kit.cfm\">dishonor the good name of Christ<\/a> (watch out for flying exclamation points!!!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course, it&#8217;s all for a good cause&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.godestiny.org\/hell_house\/HH_kitResults.cfm\">&#8220;a 33% salvation and rededication decision rate!&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/a><br \/>\nThat&#8217;s pretty scary. But do you want to hear something <em>really<\/em> scary?<\/p>\n<p>Had I not been raised in the faith, but instead was examining Christianity for the very first time, I&#8217;m afraid I would turn and walk away.<\/p>\n<p>But maybe some of you could convince me otherwise.\n<\/p>\n<p><!--eb10bb5345566596df36cc7aa23b9e3b--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Things I love about this time of year: Cooler, crisp weather and the extra spring in my step during my morning run.
