Ok, the latest track (click here) shows it going over the West coast of Florida. That’s a shorter distance and perhaps less time for it to get worked up to a higher category. Plus, it’s away from Katrina affected areas.
Still, perhaps bad news for the folks in Tampa and environs. But at least they’ve got a reasonable amount of time to prepare.
