Fellow Shoe Nerds

It’s an odd thing, but after over a year and a half of blogging, this is the post that receives the most hits, many of them from the far reaches of the globe.

There must be a lot of fellow shoe nerds out there. I think somebody needs to get a life.

By the way, here’s my latest acquisition. Suhweet, huh?

Cool. Yep, I am a proud shoe nerd.

I’m still enjoying my Nike Air Zoom Haywards (I’m planning to run 3 miles in them today). When they wear out, I’m looking at These Beauties. They remind me of the old Waffle Trainers that I coveted back in high school. My son is running in them right now as he prepares for cross country in the fall.

Hey, better shoes than pocket protectors, right Jeff?

You’re right, the Air Zoom Moire has a distinctly “old school” look.

I wonder if they come in green and gold?

That’s funny that your Nike post is your most popular.

My favorite running shoes are Asics and New Balance. Nike always feels too narrow on my foot.

Yes, I agree, Nikes are narrower, but the width and toe box on the Structure Triax are a little more generous which is one of the reasons I stick with them.

If I’m not mistaken, there are some Nike models that are starting to come in variable widths, a la New Balance. You can always go up a half-size too or go with a thinner sock.
